Granta's Heritage Volunteers help preserve the nation's heritage in local museums, churches or institutes. 

Previous projects have included work at the Cambridge Folk Museum, Churchill College Archive Centre, the University's Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, the Parker Library at Corpus Christi, and the library at Trinity Hall, recording, inspecting and conserving old and rare books. These projects have now been completed.

South Asian Studies Library, Photographic Archive Project
 
The library has several thousand photographs of historical significance. Volunteers are currently engaged in digitising these images and placing them online, to be accessible to scholars worldwide.
Training is given and full support is available by archive staff. Volunteers can work individually or in pairs as they prefer, within the pleasant working environment in the new Alison Richard Humanities Building in West Road, Cambridge.
